Feminist Theology and the New Imperialism
Abstract
Feminist theologians must address the impacts of globalization and rising imperialism of the United States by turning their attention to nation-state, nationalism and empire building. This requires a critical analysis of the Bible and empire, a reconstruction of theological anthropology and Christology, and a critique of religion and violence. Through feminist social practices, theologians can work to strengthen solidarity among women across national, racial, economic and religious boundaries.
